Event Rules and FYI
Rules for the lakefront picnicing:
Food can be brought, cooked and prepared or with use of gas grills only. Ice chests/coolers welcomed. Positively NO GLASS! Bring your tables, chairs, or blankets. Pop-up tents (10’ x 10’ or 12’ x 12’) welcomed. Stage will be set on the Lakefront near Lafayette Street. There are relief stations and hand-washing stations. Early birds will have their choice of tent space or set-up space. Don’t forget your banner so others will know where to find your family/families!
Drinks and food will be sold and a dining canopy will be available with tables and chairs.
This year's food provider will be the Lions Club of Mandeville, so please come support their cause.
Snowballs will also be available.
ON THE MENU:
Menu items will be sold as follow, however, prices are subject to change prior to the event:
$5.00 - Grilled Sausage on Bun, Chips and Drink
$5.00 - Hamburger, Chips and Drink
$4.00 - Hotdog, Chips and Drink
$3.00 - Jambalaya
$1.00 - Drinks
Gas grills & ice chests welcomed, no charcoal briquettes or boiling pots permitted. Lakeshore Drive will be closed to parking in certain areas to be determined. Please check back to this site soon for more details. Shuttles will be provided from certain public parking areas: Lafitte St. and Madison St., Girod St. & Madison St., Girod St. & Jefferson St., Laffite St. & General Pershing (adjacent to the Trailhead). We suggest if you are going to be in this area, you set-up early before it is blocked off. Enjoy picnicking as we used to do in summers past & reunite with ole friends and make new ones.
